Udi Gal and Gidi Kliger are back into medal contention at the 470 Class World Championships in Melbourne. The Israeli duo jumped from 11th to third position on Sunday, finishing its races in first and third places, respectively. "This was an excellent start to the gold group, we couldn't have asked for any more," Gal and Kliger said. "We're in third position and within touching distance of first. We need to maintain our composure and build on our momentum." In the women's competition, Nika Kornecki and Vered Buskila dropped six positions to 14th place on Sunday. The team had its worst day of racing so far in the competition, ending its three races in 10th, 17th and 21st.
