Swimming: Gostomelsky in more finals

Gostomelsky clocked yet another Israeli record time of 25.74 seconds in the 50m butterfly final, just 14 hundredths of a second slower than the bronze medal winner.

Anya Gostomelsky continued her very impressive showing at the World Short Course Swimming Championships in Manchester over the weekend. The Israeli finished fifth in the 50 meter butterfly on Friday and qualified for two more finals on Saturday. Gostomelsky clocked yet another Israeli record time of 25.74 seconds in the 50m butterfly final, just 14 hundredths of a second slower than the bronze medal winner. On Saturday, Gostomelsky progressed to Sunday's final of the 100m butterfly from sixth position in a new Israeli record time of 57.91s. Gostomelsky, who finished eighth in the 100m backstroke final on Thursday, will also compete in the final of the 50m backstroke on Sunday after finishing sixth in the semis in 27.50s.
