Shahar Pe'er's run at the doubles tournament in Paris came to a disappointing end on Tuesday. The 21-year-old Israeli and partner Victoria Azarenka, who were seeded No. 6 at Roland Garos, lost 6-7 (4), 5-7 to Casey Dellacqua and Francesca Schiavone in the quarterfinals, ending Israeli participation in the French Open. The Israeli/Belarusian duo served for the first set in the 12th game of the match, but was broken and subsequently lost the tiebreak. Dellacqua and Schiavone opened an early 2-0 lead in the second set and served for the match in the 10th game. Pe'er and Azarenka saved match points, but despite breaking back and tying the score, lost the next two games and were knocked out of the tournament.
