Tennis: Pe'er to play in Qatar

Shahar Pe'er confirmed on Wednesday that she will take part in the Qatar Total Open which gets underway in Doha, Qatar on February 18. Pe'er, who will be the first Israeli tennis player to play a WTA tour tournament in an Arab country, has received a visa to Qatar and the tournament organizers have said that they will be delighted to host her in the country. "I'm very happy to be going to Doha," Pe'er said. "It's a very big tournament and I heard it's a beautiful place. I'm sure I'll be made to feel welcome. I hope it will be a positive experience for everyone."
