With a managerial crisis in the background and a series of losses culminating in the 35-point margin defeat to Nahariya on Saturday night, Hapoel Jerusalem on Tuesday night shocked ULEB Cup group C leader Montepaschi Siena on the road 91-85. Dan Shamir's players staged a fourth quarter comeback to defeat the current number one team in the Italian league. Jerusalem was down by 5 at the end of the third quarter (72-67) but came out roaring in the final quarter, winning it by 11 points, 24-13. Hapoel had five players in double figures: Austin 19 (10 rebounds), Bowers 16, Slay 14, Tapiro 13 and Golemac 12 (10 rebounds). Ed Cota also contributed 9 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. The win puts Hapoel back in the game to clinch a spot in the round of 16.
