Former Israeli soccer international Itzik Zohar was arrested on Sunday for alleged tax evasion. Zohar was released later in the day after being questioned by the Israel Tax Authority and meeting bail of NIS 1.3 million. The news was released on Tuesday after a gag order was lifted.
Zohar, who has been working as a TV pundit since his retirement from active play, was one of Israel's biggest stars during the 1990s, winning league titles at Maccabi Tel Aviv and playing for English club Crystal Palace and Belgian side Antwerp.
