Edelstein escalated the feud with Miri Regev over Mount Herzl torch-lighting ceremony. Regev says he must “have a problem with the prime minister’s presence.”
For the past 67 years, the Knesset speaker has been the one responsible for presenting the torch-lighting ceremony.
“I don’t remember Edelstein buying Mount Herzl or attaining the rights to the official torch-lighting ceremony,” Culture Minister Miri Regev quipped.
