The Israel Opera's touring production of Rossini's La Cenerentola (Cinderella) makes its debut in Tel Aviv today with one performance only. The show has been traveling for the last couple of years, appearing mainly in periphery towns across the country.
In Rossini's version of the classic fairy tale, the stepmother is a stepfather and the glass slipper is a gold bracelet. The show, directed by David Zebba with the Ra'anana Symphony, has been adapted to suit children and the entire family. Tickets may still be purchased by calling (03)-692-7777.
