Court issues injunction against firing Haifa Theater employees

The Haifa District Labor Court yesterday issued an injunction against the dismissal of 33 Haifa Theater employees, six of them actors, and ordered the theater management to begin negotiations in good faith with the Histadrut within two weeks, and in collaboration with the Education Ministry and the Haifa Municipality.
Letters of dismissal were sent to the 33 employees more than two weeks ago and last week some 100 people protested the dismissals with a sit-in at the theater.
A letter to Haifa Mayor Yona Yahav requesting clarification regarding the theater's future has yet to receive a reply.
