Israel exports theater to Taiwan

The Habimah-Cameri production of Sophocles' Antigone, will give three performances in Taipei.

The Habimah-Cameri production of Sophocles' Antigone, adapted and directed by Hanan Snir, will give three performances in Taipei during the first week of April, the first time in its history that Israel has sent theater to Taiwan. In June, Antigone is scheduled to travel to Shizuoka, Japan, to participate in the international arts festival there. Funding for that is still uncertain. Antigone won the Israel Theater Prize for Best Production in 2007.
