By the end of 2008 the Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company (KCDC) will have taken Kef-Kafim and Ecodoom to 18 cities in 12 countries for a total of 35 performances.
It started in Bosnia in February, went on to Bogota, Colombia, in March, and continues on to Warsaw and Cracow to open the Israel-Poland Year of Culture. In May KCDC goes to Croatia, Hungary and three cities in Italy where they'll dance Ecodoom at the RED festival at Reggio Emilia (this year is dedicated entirely to Israel), as well as in Milan and Padua. In June it's Ecodoom at the Prague Festival and in Brno, Kef-Kafim in Slovakia and Ecodoom again at the important arts festival in Kuopio, Finland.
KCDC will also be going to the US and Canada later, but in July it comes home for the world premiere of a new Rami Beer piece at the Tel Aviv Performing Arts Center. Beer is the artistic director of the company and has choreographed all its works, including Kef-Kafim and Ecodoom.
