Their summer in Israel must have made a good impression. A year after a month-long series of shows in Tel Aviv, the Ukrainian acrobatic troupe known as Men in Black returned to Israel this week for a series of summer shows in cities across the country. The performers, natives of Kiev and alumni of Cirque du Soleil, will perform in the coming weeks at municipal celebrations on Moshav Galia and in the Jezreel Valley, and later in the summer in Ashkelon and Ra'anana.
The shows mark a return to Israel for Men in Black, who spent last July performing in One, a four-week concert series featuring the pop star Rita and a small army of dancers, trapeze artists, pyrotechnicians and acrobats. One of the most ambitious, expensive stage shows ever performed in Israel, the month-long concert series proved a hit despite overlapping for nearly its entire duration with the Second Lebanon War.
