Academy Award-winning actor Denzel Washington is scheduled to visit Israel for the first time as part of a delegation of African-American artists, including singer Natalie Cole and dancer Debbie Allen.
The visit, which will include meetings with Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, President Shimon Peres and Israeli film students, is among the events leading up to Israel's 60th anniversary celebrations.
