Veteran actor and flower grower Rami Peleg died of cancer earlier this month. A firm believer in its anti-war ideology, he was in the original cast of Hanoch Levin's 1968 satire You and Me and the Next War, and also in the 2004 revival at the Arab-Hebrew Theater in Old Jaffa.
His fellow actors, Shifra Milstein, Batsheva Tzeisler and Gad Kenar, decided that rather than hire a replacement for their much-loved friend and colleague, they'd adapt the script for three people. They will present the new version at the theater in a memorial performance for Peleg on February 2.
