In its second year, the Bustan Festival of Theater and Dance will take place at the Bustan Theater in Ramat Poleg near Netanya from January 25-28. Combining the talents of known artists, graduates and students, the Festival is dedicated to showcasing contemporary and innovative work. Events include "The Four Seasons (25/1)" presented by the Klipa Theater, and commissioned for and debuted at the Kibbutz Chamber Orchestra last year. Set to Vivaldi's famous orchestral suite, the piece is an exploration of love between four different couples. "Playstation" (26/1) by Ilanit Tadmor is an evening of dance improvisation teamed with lights and live music. "Kime" ( 27/1) is an innovative group work by eight artists from various disciplines, and was established by Or Marin and Eran Saar. Marin is also presenting "Ophelia," a short dance piece that will premiere in the first half of the evening (which is dedicated to student works). The kiddies will have fun on the Saturday with Cornelius's Circus. The 170 seat Bustan Theater is a purpose built space that was constructed for the 32 year old Bustan Performing Arts High School that recently moved to Ramat Poleg. The school was founded by Zeev and Micky Marin.
