The Jezreel Valley local council is preparing to host the eighth annual Milk and Honey Festival this Shavuot weekend. From June 5 through 9, the festival will offer a mixture of outdoor events, an agricultural village and musical performances of both old and new singers.
The festival will open with shows by Rita, Mashina, Mosh Ben-Ari and Knesiat Hasechel. In addition, Ahinoam Nini will perform.
Other highlights will include hazanut groups, Miri Mesika, Aya Korem and Danny Robas, along with a first-fruits ceremony, songs of Israel sing-alongs, a traditional tikun leil Shavuot all-night learning experience and hikes throughout the area. More information: (04) 652-0734 or www.goemek.co.il
