Tel Aviv to celebrate 60 through the night

The Tel Aviv municipality has arranged an array of night celebrations that will interest all ages.

Independence Day celebrations are not relegated to the day itself in Tel Aviv. The municipality has arranged an array of night celebrations that will interest all ages. A huge public sing-along of favorite Israeli songs will take place tonight, Independence Day eve, in Kikar Rabin from 9:30 p.m. and will continue into the small hours of the night. A concert featuring Ivri Leader, Dana International, Monica Sex, fireworks and partying, will kick off at 10 p.m. at the Sporteque. A children's show presented by Rinat Gabai will focus on 60 years of Israeli childrens' songs in the courtyard in front of Beit Ariella from 8:30 p.m. Israeli folk dancing will continue in the courtyard from 11:00 p.m. Israeli ball room dancing will hold court in front of the Opera House from 10 p.m. Entrance to all events free of charge.
