Yavin's sign-off brings high ratings

The Tuesday night episode of Mabat, in which legendary anchor Haim Yavin bid farewell to his audience, brought Channel 1's news program its highest number of viewers in the past six months. Its average rating was 10.6 percent that night, with 242,000 people tuning in to see Mr. Television's last broadcast. The Haim Yavin special that aired after the news brought even higher numbers, with an average of 16.1% of viewers (or 382,000 individuals), Channel 1 said in a press release.
