I Believe, a trio for violin, cello and piano by Ella Milch Sheriff, had its world premiere at the Chautauqua Festival in New York on August 6. This was the third time that the festival commissioned a work from the Israeli composer, whose Songs on the Edge and Is Heaven Void premiered there. This commission honors Israel's 60th birthday. It was inspired by a poem of the same name by Shaul Tchernikovsky about his longing for Israel and a home, at last, for the Jews.
