Leonard Cohen announces Israel show

Cohen joins a long list of international performers planning stops in Israel for the summer and fall.

Rumors do come true. Leonard Cohen has set a date for his long-awaited trip to Israel. The singer/songwriter/poet/novelist will perform in Ramat Gan on September 18, according to a decision made over the weekend. Cohen joins a long list of international performers planning stops in Israel for the summer and fall - including the recently announced shows of American rapper Snoop Dogg (originally slated for the same date and venue as Cohen, now being slightly adjusted) and French electronic duo Air (October). Blondie, Morrissey, The Stranglers, Air Supply, The New York Dolls and The Breeders all have concerts planned for Israel this summer, too.
