10 hurt, 3 seriously, in 40 degree heat at Dead Sea marathon

Ten participants in the Ein Gedi Half Marathon suffered fatigue and heatstroke on Saturday, with temperatures reaching up to 40 degrees next to the Dead Sea.
Magen David Adom paramedics treated the ten, three of whom were seriously injured, one moderately and the others lightly.
A number of the casualties were evacuated to Beersheba's Soroka Hospital.
