1,500 Beduins demonstrate, mark Land Day in Negev

1,500 Beduins converged on an unrecognized village in the Negev on Tuesday afternoon to mark Land Day, the anniversary of the killing of Israeli Arabs in 1976 during a protest over land confiscations.
Israel Radio reported that the Beduins were shouting anti-Israeli slogans and calling for solidarity with the Palestinian cause. Arab MKs, among them Ahmed Tibi and Taleb A-Sanaa (United Arab List-TAAL) also attended the demonstration.
