1500-year-old Samaritan synagogue found near Beit She'an

A 1500 year old Samaritan synagogue was discovered earlier this month southwest of Beit She'an, the Israel Antiquities Authority reported on Monday.
The structures uncovered were built at the end of the fifth century AD and they continued to exist until the eve of the Muslim conquest in 634 AD, when the Samaritans abandoned the complex, according to the directors of the excavation, Dr. Walid Atrash and Ya’aqov Harel.
Two Samaritan synagogues were discovered in the past at Beit Shean.
