2 Jaljulya men arrested on suspicion of 2 violent robberies

Two Jaljulya men were arrested Wednesday on suspicion of carrying out two violent robberies of elderly women in Savyon some two months ago.
According to one of the women, one of the suspected robbers had worked as a gardener at her home.
In the first incident, the two allegedly came to the home of a 77-year-old woman dressed up as municipal employees, stealing thousands of shekels at knife-point and fleeing. In the second robbery, one of the two is suspected of dressing up as an Israel Electric Company worker and severely assaulting a 95-year-old woman, including burning her fingertips with a lighter and hitting her, before making away with checks and valuables.
