2 seperate anti-Israel protests held outside White House

In wake of the meeting between US President Barack Obama and Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu separate anti-Israel protests were held Tuesday outside the White House, .

In one, demonstrators called for an end to both US aid to Israel and Israel's siege of Gaza.

A second, larger rally consisted of hundreds of anti-Zionist haredim.

The participants, primarily Satmar Hassidim, arrived by the busload from New York to protest against the Israeli government's “desecration” of ancient graves and the “brutalizing of peaceful orthodox Jewish protesters,” as one sign said. Another declared aim of the demonstration was to reiterate to the world that “Israel is a Zionist state, not a Jewish state,” as another sign stated.
