300 Druze granted permission to visit Syria

Interior Minister Eli Yishai on Monday granted permission for 300 members of the Druze religion to visit Syria for one week on a religious trip. The approval represented the first time that a group of Druze have been allowed to visit Syria.
Also on Wednesday, Defense Minister Ehud Barak gave his final approval for 14-year-old Golan Heights resident Marina al-Kish to travel to Syria in order to undergo a complicated eye surgery. Kish's mother was also given permission to accompany her daughter in coordination with the Interior Ministry and the Red Cross.
