5 injured as car escaping police slams into parked vehicle

Four family members were lightly to moderately injured Monday night, near Jerusalem’s French Hill area, when a vehicle attempting to escape from traffic police ran a red light and slammed into their car parked on the side of the road. They were evacuated to Hadassah Ein Karem hospital.   Two occupants of the reckless vehicle were also lightly to moderately wounded. They were evacuated to hospital under police custody. Pursuit of the vehicle’s third occupant was ongoing at 1:00 a.m. Monday overnight.
