Abbas deplores Libya attack as 'ugly terror'

PA President Mahmoud Abbas condemned the Tuesday attack on the US embassy in Libya that killed four, including US Ambassador Chris Stevens, as "an act of ugly terror," US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said Friday.
In a Friday ceremony honoring those who lost their lives, Clinton quoted Abbas while eulogizing Stevens. "The President of the Palestinian Authority, who worked closely with Chris when he served in Jerusalem, sent me a letter remembering his energy and integrity, and deploring – and I quote – 'an act of ugly terror,'" Clinton said.
Clinton also praised the service of Sean Smith, Tyrone Woods and Glen Doherty, the three embassy workers killed in the attack alongside Stevens, calling them heroes and patriots.
