Afula rally to call for greater security in wake of suspected terror attack that took life of local woman

Friends, relatives, and supporters plan to hold a rally in Afula on Saturday night in memory of Sheli Dadon, the 19-yr-old local woman found stabbed to death in Migdal Em'ek on May 1 in a suspected terror attack.
While organizers said the rally isn't meant to be political, Assaf Sarid, Sheli's cousin, said they want to convey the message that Israel must intensify the penalties for murderers, and stop releasing convicted murderers early for political reasons. He said they are not however calling for the death penalty, adding that Israeli authorities must improve the sense of personal security for Israeli civilians.
“It's unacceptable that people in Afula are afraid to go out and don't feel safe here,” Sarid said.
