AG to probe bribe charge against Yisrael Beytenu candidate

The central elections committee recommended to Attorney-General Yehuda Weinstein Wednesday to investigate whether former Labor MK Leon Litinetsky, who is 34 on the joint Likud-Yisrael Beytenu list, attempted to bribe Yisrael Beytenu activists to bring out voters.
Channel 10 revealed last month that Litinetsky promised government funded jobs as polling station staff on Election Day to whichever party activists bring out the most voters. He was caught on tape promising in Russian NIS 800 for eight hours of “easy work” or NIS 300 for part-time work. The channel showed a new video Wednesday indicating that party activists were still being made such promises.
