A senior Egyptian ministerial delegation will travel to London and Washington this weekend to discuss the Arab vision for Middle East peace and the necessity of a complete West Bank settlement freeze with US and UK government officials, Egyptian daily Al-Ahram reported on Monday. The delegation will reportedly include Egyptian Foreign Minister Ahmed Aboul Gheit and intelligence chief Gen. Omar Suleiman. Their visit is set to take efforts to resume Middle East peace talks one step further in the wake of separate meetings by Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas - currently in Cairo - with Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak. Egyptian Foreign Ministry spokesman Hossam Zaki told the newspaper that contrary to various reports, a tripartite summit between Mubarak, Abbas and Netanyahu would not take place in the near future.
