At least two dead in mar

Two people were found dead and dozens of others were said to be missing after a cargo ship sank amid stormy weather off the coast of Tripoli on Thursday night, Reuters reported. The ship had been transporting a cargo of thousands of sheep from Uruguay to the Syrian port city of Tartous. According to the report, UN peacekeeping vessels, Lebanese army boats and British troops based in Cyprus were involved in the rescue operation, in which 31 crew members were pulled out of the waves. Rescue efforts lasted well into the night, impeded by the tough weather conditions.
