Austria: Vigil held for Iranian victims

At least a thousand people held a vigil on Sunday evening in support of Iranian opposition protesters and victims of the country's regime. The participants, many of Iranian origin, sang folk songs and laid candles and flowers on the steps of Austria's parliament. Some attending the event held signs that read "No to violence in Iran" and "Stop beating and killing people in Iran." Others shouted "The mullahs must go!" or waved Iranian flags. The vigil comes after days of bloody demonstrations in which dozens have reportedly been killed in Iran. The protesters are demanding that the results of the recent presidential election be annulled, claiming widespread voter fraud.
