Barak, Landau speak out against exclusion of women

Defense Minister Ehud Barak said Sunday that the exclusion of women is totally unacceptable, according to Army Radio.
Barak's comments came following a Friday night Channel 2 report that showed an eight-year old modern orthodox girl afraid to walk 300 meters to school because of harassment from some haredim because of her attire.
Infrastructure Minister Uzi Landau also reacted to the reports and said "the extremist haredim [ultra-Orthodox] need to be dealt with in the same way as the left-wing anarchists and the hill top youth."
