British ambassador addresses Knesset, preps 2012 Olympics

British Ambassador to Israel Matthew Gould addressed the Knesset Thursday morning, officially inviting Israel to the 2012 Olympic games taking place in London.
"To Israeli Olympians," Gould said, "I invite you to the London Olympic and Paralympic Games. The venues are built, the city is ready, the welcome will be warm, and the world will be watching."
Gould paid tribute to the 11 Israeli athletes who were abducted and murdered by Palestinian terrorists, adding that the UK and Israel "remain united in the determination to defend ourselves against terror."
In attendance were Knesset Speaker Reuven Rivlin, Sports and Culture Minister Limor Livnat, active and former athletes and members of Knesset.
