Civilians, soldiers busted, indicted for illegal sale of IDF weaponry to organized crime

The Southern District Attorney's Office on Thursday filed an indictment with the Beersheba District Court against three defendants for involvement in a scheme of illegally taking possession of and selling a range of IDF ammunition, grenades and other weaponry to organized crime members.

The defendants were assisted by various IDF personnel from bases in the South who were paid thousands of shekels for their assistance.

The involved IDF personnel are expected to be separately indicted by the IDF prosecutor's office.
