Clinton demands Iran respond soon to nuclear report

HONOLULU - US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said on Thursday that Iran must respond soon to "serious concerns" raised by the UN nuclear watchdog's report that Tehran appeared to be working on nuclear bomb technology.
"In the coming days, we expect Iran to answer the serious questions raised by this report," Clinton told reporters after ministerial talks at an Asia-Pacific summit in Honolulu.
Clinton also repeated Washington's call for Syrian President Bashar al-Assad to step down and end his violent crackdown on protesters.
