Coalition chair: There's a chance elections will be early

Coalition chairman Ze’ev Elkin (Likud) implied that elections may be held early, in an interview with the Knesset Channel on Monday.

"There is a reasonable chance that this October, the election process will begin," he said. "If our coalition partners will be responsible, will go to elections on the original date of October 2012. If they draw us into populism that endangers the economy, then already this October the election process will start, and they will be held in January-February 2013."
