Coldest season in 13 years; Kinneret rises 3cm.

Temperatures from this November through January have been the coldest since the corresponding 1994-1995 season, according to a preliminary study conducted by the Israel Meteorological Service. The unseasonable cold this year is simply a result of this year’s global weather system, the service’s Climatology Branch reported.
Meanwhile, although snow covered Mount Hermon on Sunday, rain that drenched much of the rest of the country caused the Kinneret to rise 3 centimeters between Sunday and Monday, Water Authority Spokesman Uri Schor said. Between Monday and Tuesday, the Kinneret should rise again slightly, but not to this extent, and rains should return on Friday, he predicted.
