Committee members threaten to resign over free dental care decision

Committee members threat

Over a quarter of the members of the public health basket committee threatened to resign on Thursday in protest over the decision to expand the 2010 basket to provide "basic health care" to children. Committee members are protesting Deputy Health Minister Ya'acov Litzman's efforts to bypass the public health basket committee when he conducted a telephone vote of ministers on Sunday and Monday nights. The members threatening resignation demanded that Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu intervene to reverse the decision.
