Contracted teachers announce nationwide strike

Some 250 contracted teachers in the Education Ministry's "Hila" program announced that they would go on strike Monday in 23 learning centers around the country, Army Radio reported Sunday.
The teachers joined the larger general strike to protest the conditions of contract workers nation-wide.
The National Labor Court lifted an injunction against the strike last Thursday, clearing the way for the strike to begin.
