Council of Reform Rabbis opposes 'anti-boycott' law

The Council of Reform Rabbis came out in opposition on Thursday to the recently passed "anti-boycott" law, Israel Radio reported.
The new law allows citizens to bring civil lawsuits against any individual or group calling for an academic, cultural, or economic boycott against Israel, Israeli institution, or regions under Israeli control including settlements in the West Bank.
Eighty five rabbis signed a letter saying it was a mitzva to protest the rampant injustice and said ti supported anyone committed to an alternative moral opinion to express and fight for it. The council said it would protest the law and fight it until it is removed.
