Court rejects petition over legality of two-year budget

The High Court rejected on Thursday a petition submitted by Kadima MK Roni Bar On over the legality of the two-year budget.
In her ruling, Supreme Court President Dorit Beinisch determined that the law authorizing the budget was constitutional, but warned against extended use of temporary orders to change Israel’s basic laws.
The petition was heard by an extended panel of seven High Court justices.
