Crowley calls for Obama to take clear stance on Assad

Former US State Department spokesman P.J. Crowley called on the Obama administration to "get on the right side of history" and begin demanding the resignation of Syrian President Bashar Assad, in a Washington Post op-ed published Monday.
Obama, Crowley said, "has outlined a bold yet simple approach to the Arab Spring rooted in our values and long-term interests. We need to apply it to Syria."
