Danon peddles bill to annex Judea and Samaria

MK Danny Danon has renewed his efforts to pass a Knesset bill annexing Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria so that Israeli law fully applied to those settlements.

In light of the stalled Israeli Palestinian peace process, Danon told The Jerusalem Post, now is the moment to push forward with the initiative, which he began in September.

“This is an historic opportunity to correct an injustice,” said Danon. He added that he hoped to bring the matter before the Ministerial Legislative Committee in a matter of weeks.

An official said that Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu would block the initiative.
