Defense Ministry cancels MK tour to Joseph's tomb

Defense Minister Ehud Barak canceled a visit to Joseph's Tomb by 15 Knesset members scheduled to take place Tuesday morning.
Security officials said the visit was canceled due to security reasons, following concerns that Palestinian protesters would interrupt the tour.
In response to the cancellation, Knesset members Zeev Elkin and Arye Eldad said: "Defense Minister Barak and the security establishment proved that they were unable to keep their word to allow a visit to Joseph's tomb on the 30th day since the murder of Ben-Yosef Livnat by a Palestinian policeman, and [were unable] to ensure the implementation of the Oslo Accords that leave control of Joseph's Tomb in Israel's hands."
