Deputy Knesset speaker calls on PM to fire Liberman

MK Shlomo Molla (The Tzipi Livni Party) called on Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu to fire Foreign Minister Avigdor Liberman following the Attorney-General's decision to indict him for fraud and breach of public trust on Thursday.

"It is not reasonable that someone who is charged of breaching public trust and who has a serious conflict of interest between his public and personal duties, continue to serve as a minister in the Israeli government," the deputy Knesset speaker said.

"These severe charges expose Liberman's true interests to the public, and any connection between these interests and those of the citizens of the country that he represents - are coincidental at best," he added.
