Documents suggest Demjanjuk link to 2nd Nazi camp

MUNICH — A German historian on Wednesday presented documents at the trial of John Demjanjuk showing that a man with the same ID card number and a very similar name was a guard at the Flossenbuerg concentration camp.
Matthias Meissner of Germany's Federal Archive showed original documents from Flossenbuerg listing a man called "Demianiuk" and "Demenjuk" as a guard there in October 1943.
That person was identified by the same ID number that is on a Nazi-issued identity card presented by the prosecution — which says it carries Demjanjuk's photo and indicates he was a guard at the Sobibor death camp.
The defense argues that document is a fake. Former Ohio autoworker Demjanjuk faces 28,060 counts of accessory to murder related to his alleged activities at Sobibor.
He has repeatedly denied the charges.
