Driver who ran over Rehovot man '3 times over legal limit'

The 19-year-old driver who ran over and killed a 67-year-old pedestrian in Rehovot on Tuesday was three times over the legal alcohol limit, police said on Thursday.
Sagi Gamliel struck and killed Smuel Rozenstein after drinking with his girlfriend in a public park. He then fled the scene of the accident and made no effort to assist the pedestrian, police said.
Lab tests found that Gamliel had 166 milligrams of alcohol in his blood - three and half time more than the legal limit.
Meanwhile, the custody of Gamliel's girlfriend was extended by four days at the Rishon Magistrate's Court on Thursday.
