The 19-year-old driver who ran over and killeda 67-year-old pedestrian in Rehovot on Tuesday was three times over thelegal alcohol limit, police said on Thursday.
SagiGamliel stuck and killed Smuel Rozenstein after drinking with hisgirlfriend in a public park. He then fled the scene of the accident andmade no effort to assist the pedestrian, police said.
Lab tests found that Gamliel had 166 milligrams of alcohol in his blood - three and half time more than the legal limit.
Meanwhile, the custody of Gamliel's girlfriend was extended by four days at the Rishon Magistrate's Court on Thursday.
